First off, happy birthday to Kunama. :P
Haha, now the entire internet knows except the gargantuan percentage that don't visit or even know of this crappy blog.
Please don't hurt me.
Secondly, today my mum brought home Optus ADSL2+. In about a week when the phone line gets changed over from Telstra to Optus I will have fast net!! and about 20GB a month (if my sister doesn't use it all). It should be about 24mbps but dad thinks because of the distance to the nearest phone exchange (At Towers, about 3km's away) that attenuation will reduce it to about 10mbps. But I don't really care because thats still 50x faster than the 20ish I get at the moment.
I'm annoyed at Red Steel. Or my Wii. I can't decide which is to blame, but I guess I'll know next time I play it. I was playing Red Steel pretty constantly yesterday when I wasn't watching England's slow win on the cricket, and around 6-7ish it kinda froze. As I'd just forced myself incredibly slowly up a down escalator to avoid going through what was pretty much a mine field I don't know if I had just missed a trigger in the game and stuffed something up (Red Steel is pretty sequential), or if the Wii had overheated (haven't heard of this happening to anyone else) or if the game disc was screwed.
Naturally when I went to try again I was back at the beginning of the level, even though I had passed several checkpoints before this.. I got to the same spot again and this time went through the minefield and up to some cover a bit further (in the same room, but on the balcony of a building) in the game and had it freeze again.
At this point I'm angry, though hopefully I haven't stuffed the thing up. I might try it again tommorow but I thought I'd give it a rest today.
It brings to light an annoyance I have with myself. I seem to be very bad at finishing things. For one thing, I'm on the last dungeon on Zelda but I can't bring myself to finish it. I just have no enthusiasm for it whatsoever. The same is true with Monster 4x4 where there are a bunch of cars I could unlock but I don't have the mood to play it (though this could be understandable as bar the multiplayer its fairly crap; finished the racing league in a total of 5hrs or so over 2days). It goes for other things as well. I have about 40 Warhammer guys to paint sitting on my desk staring at me. The rearrangement of my room is about 60% done but I can't be bothered doing the rest.
As well as this, there is a bunch more stuff I _could_ be doing. I'm bored because I have too much stuff I can do, but can't decide what. What's worse in my mind is that I keep on starting new things without completing the old. As much as I'd like to finish things I'd dislike it as well because it would mean that it was ended. The end is both joyful and depressing and so I stand and stare at it, instead of going past it.
I really shouldn't self-analyse.
