Haven't done any study today, due to going on "farm experience" thingy with family. Whole point was to educate our exchange student about life on the farm...or something. Was enjoyable anyway. Left about 800 to arrive 920. Other family that was bringing the other two exchange students didn't get there for another 20min. Went down to watch cows getting milked first. Guy ('Matty') let the calfs have a go first, then herded them away while the little kids (there was another group there with us) had turns milking. Calfs kept on trying to come back and get more. Amusing creatures.
Went and looked at all the 'cute' animals next, since they had a sort of petting zoo set up. There was a fairly large stall (15 * 5 m) with rabbits and chicks in it. Patted cute black rabbit for a while before letting him go. Chased a chick around and eventually caught him. Petted him for a bit, let him hop up on my shoulder.
Had a horse ride next. Took ages to start, went and talked to a poor horse that had got hit with a hoof in the front of his head. Had green stuff running down from the wound...don't know if that was medicine or not...
Eventually got to ride, horse's name was Misty probably because she had white speckles down her front...maybe. Was an alright ride for just looking around I suppose, but there were so many people and so many of them were Under12 (at least, probably under10 even) that we never accelerated past a walk...not one trot...*is disappointed*
Got to do archery after that. Targets were sitting on hay bales against a corrogated iron shed. Got bored with hitting target (since the other group had got in and taken the majority of the arrows, and we had to wait every time for them to finish firing so we could retrieve ours...), so I took empty coke can and stood it in field running along shed (it was a long not so wide shed) targets, far enough away that I didn't have to wait to retrieve. Stood taking shots at that for near an hour, never actually hit it (it was like 25+ m away). Came close a few times but I could never get the range right, especially since half the arrows I had were missing flights (thus they spun in midair...away from target >_<").
There was no-one there supervising us, even though there were 10yr olds wielding bows...some of the arrows hit the shed by accident. They went through freakin corrugated iron from 15+ m away!! and there were little kids!!!....some people are just idiots.
It was about 3pm by then (we had lunch at some stage...can't remember precisely when), and we went off to watch whip cracking and make damper and drink billy tea. Was only small fire, and of course everyone crowded in at once...
Matty had a really well trained dog he showed off. Had him jumping through hand loops, even jump on his back and lie down on his shoulders as he walked around 0-0". Made him sit up on hind legs, holding a whip in his mouth and matty's acobura (sp?) on his head while matty whipped around him, knocking a bit of grass out of the hat. He took the hat and whip off, and while the dog was still standing he pointed his hand like a gun and said bang and the dog (I think his name was oscar) fell over 'dead'.

Yeah.
So thats my day of fun filled procrastination.

Back to study tommorow...really need to finish writing notes for Bio exam on tuesday (evil biochemistry topic!!)
