"Commencing countdown engines on." 5

I should be cramming like crazy for my Bio Exam this afternoon....

Organic Phosphorylation (animals)
Overall reaction:
c6h12o6 + 6o2 + ADP + Pi (It's not Pi, its inorgainc phosphate) -> 6CO2 + 6H2O + ATP

Electrons are passed from NADH (or FADH) down the electron transport chain with O2 as the final acceptor.
NADH + H+ -> NAD+ + 2H+
[bunch of complicated other reactions]
1/2O2 + 2H+ -> H2O
As the electrons are passed down from NADH to O2 they move to lower energy states. This energy is used to push H+ ions against the proton gradient and out of the mitochondria's inner membrane. Once out of the inner membrane, they are pressured to go back in (due to the Electro chemical gradient). Thus they return through a protein on the inner membrane, ATPsynthase. H+ ions channeled through the protein allow the protein to bind Pi to ADP, forming ATP.

TCA cycle (TriCarboxylic Acid aka Krebs cycle)
2pyruvate -> 2Acetyl CoA + CO2 (Cytoplasm)
Acetyl CoA -> 3NADH + FADH2 + 2CO2 + ATP (Mitochondrial matrix) *2
This is where the NADH for the electron transport chain is generated in the prescence of oxygen.

Fermentation (aka Anaerobic Respiration)
2pyruvate -> 2CH3OOH (Ethanol) + 2 CO2 : Alcholic Fermentation; plants (cytosol)
or -> 2 Lactate : Lactate Fermentation; animals (cytosol)

Light & Dark(Calvin Cycle) Reactions: (plants)
Light + H20 + NADP+ -> NADPH + ATP + O2 (Thylakoids)
3C02 + Rubisco + 3ATP + 6NADPH -> C6H12O6 + 3ADP + 6NADP+ + Rubisco(recycled)
In C4 plants, less water is needed.

ATP = Adenosine Triphosphate <- The most wonderful chemical on the planet. Thank it for giving you life.
Now.

actually life as it is defined today is a body bound of chemicals. But technically life is Scalar EM or in other words the information/thought behind the electrons that make up the universe. Before you even have ATP you have to give thanks to Scalar EM for inventing life in the first place.

O_o
Bunch of unfamiliar chemical combinations!
Seems that the basic concepts are the same. Except for that weird 'electrochemical gradient', which is probably a variation of something I've seen before.
I've read 'ATP' somewhere before... where... dammit stupid uni killing my memory!!
